There are a number of ways to obtain a quote and schedule your move. Text or call us at +1 (214)-210-3322 email us at wecare@maidformoving.com or fill out your information on our Contact Us page – let us know what form of communication you prefer and we’ll reach out to you as soon as possible.

There is no penalty for cancelling your move with us, but we do ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible. This will allow us to fill this vacant time slot. If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your new move date or time slot.

No, we do not charge a deposit to reserve our services.

We accept all major credit cards and cash. We do not accept checks as payment at this time. If paying by the hour, it is best to pay via credit card. If paying with cash, please have exact cash, our mover’s do not carry cash on the job.

Payment is not due until immediately following the move. You may pay by cash or by card. If you choose the hourly rate, the time will be stopped and your amount will be calculated upon completion. If you choose the flat rate, your amount will be pre-determined.

We accept all major credit cards and cash. We do not accept checks at this time.

You may choose between the two types of billing when you receive your quote. Flat rate offers you greater ease, but may include additional charges for disassembling and reassembling furniture or appliance installation. Hourly rates can be more difficult to predict the total cost of the move, but this price will include all services without additional charge.

As with all service industries, you may wish to provide gratuity to show your appreciation for a job well done. Gratuity is not expected, but is definitely appreciated. Typically, customers tip 10-15% of the total bill, depending on the service they receive. Bear in mind that 100% of the tips received go directly to the movers. Cash tips are preferred, but you will also have the option to add it to your credit card statement, if necessary.

Moving can be expensive, so we understand if you can’t leave a tip. A great alternative is leaving a great review on Yelp, Google or Facebook (and mentioning your movers by name), or referring your friends and family to use us in the future. We have our own incentive programs for our movers and will make sure they are praised for their hard work (with your help!)

A number of factors goes into getting you the most accurate estimate. We know how expensive it can be to move, and an accurate estimate is the first step in setting the budget for your move. Multilevel homes, elevator use, number of large items, appliance installation, and assembling furniture all play a role in determining your quote. The more accurate the information you provide is, the more accurate your estimate will likely be.

The answer depends on when you are moving. Weekends, summer and at the beginning/end of each month are our busiest times. If you need to move during a busy time, it is best to book your move 2-3 weeks in advance. If you need to move during our slower periods, 1-1.5 weeks should be enough time to schedule your move with us.

We will do everything in our power to move your belongings as safely as possible. Unfortunately, accidents happen and are unpredictable. We are fully insured and will take your request seriously. Please take photos and provide a description of item (brand, price, model number, etc.) so we can determine the best course of action to take. If our movers notice a damaged item they will notify you and take a photo of the damage prior to moving this item.

In general, we will not move loose items or items in loose bags. You are not required to empty your furniture drawers before your move, however, we kindly ask you to remove all breakable or important items and securely pack them in a separate box. We may not assume responsibility for items that are damaged within furniture drawers.

It’s normal to feel the need to help the movers on your moving day, however, we ask that you let us handle all of the heavy lifting. You are paying us to provide a service, and we would love to do 100% of the job! Helping might end up slowing our mover’s down, as well. The best way to help is to be present to make it clear what is going, what is staying, and by helping keep kids and pets out of harms way!

We will do our best to provide a 30 minute window on the day of your move. If our movers arrive after this estimated time, we will remove $50 from your final bill.

The more prepared and organized you are, the faster (and cheaper) your move will likely be. Labeling boxes (such as Kitchen, Bedroom 1, etc.) will help us during the loading and unloading processes. Also, please make sure children and pets are kept out of the loading/unloading paths to allow us to move freely and help make your move as easy and safe as possible.

There are some items that we recommend customers move on their own, if possible, to protect and prevent damage or misplacement during the moving process. These items include: jewelry, cash, lamps, prescription medications, very fragile or breakable items, irreplaceable or sentimental items, hanging wardrobe, etc.

Yes. It is common for the movers to need to disassemble furniture to properly and safely move the item (i.e. bed frames, tables, etc.). If you are paying a flat rate, these services can be provided with a nominal additional fee. If paying by the hour, you do not need to worry about any additional charges.

Yes. Our movers have access to all tools and equipment to disconnect and reconnect all appliances. However, because our movers are not professional plumbers, it is important that you inspect the connection afterwards, and we will require you to sign a waiver releasing us of any liability associated with the handling of water lines and exhaust hoses. If you are paying a flat rate, these services can be provided with a nominal additional fee. If paying by the hour, you do not need to worry about any additional charges.
